Long time, no see

The first shot was taken when I discovered the wreck, the second shot with a tow fish yesterday evenin...

Denny,
the only difference in the markings that really matters is the "X".

987c is a domestic version, 987cx is an international version  .

He ended up having to send it in I think. Whompusfinder, Bill didn't have to send it back. He got it running again with HumminbirdPC and the PC connection cable. I got mine saved through this procedure as well. BMX, think positive  . I'm sure you'll be able to get it saved and don't have to s...

From my expirience: I did two updates with the card in before firing it up. Both times the updates went ape and the unit locked up. The first time I hadn't restored to factory defaults and the unit had to be send back for repair. Second time the unit locked up although I had it restored to factory d...

Hi thomsenkbhs, 1. The records include depth, course and postion, so you should be able to use this data for a profile of the seabed. I don't know which software you'd like to use for that. 2. NO  http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=31.0 3. Different screen size of course for 797/...

Why not using the switch?

I'm not sure if it works with the SI units, but Greg might shine more light on this.

Hello Gary, check what I did: http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=158.0 I admit it's a bit more complicated to do it this way, but it works and I didn't have to go for a dual transducer set up. At the moment I figure out how to add a hydraulic piston to it, so I don't have to get the t...

grimpuppy,
do you have the right update file on the SD card? The 797 and 787 update files are different.

Delete all files from your SD card, upload the 787 update to it and then try again.

MichBill, you got the unit in Bootstrap Mode. Try the following: Download the bin file of the new update from HB's website if you haven't already. Bin file names should be "M798.4_750" or similar. Connect your unit via PC cable to your PC. Start Humminbird PC like you'd do during the regular update ...

Correct Blinky, it doesn't have it as standart, but can be "upgraded" with an extra transducer. All HDS units are structure scan compatible from what I've read. Additional to Soretoe's linked story, there's another thing I would keep in mind: LOWRANCE's structure scan is out for just a short time, H...
