I'm running the next to latest software (the one that addressed this issue)
No second sonar unit running
All devices on or off has no effect (I have been extremely lucky with no real interference issues of any kind on this unit so far.)

I concur. Air bubbles rising from bottom can/will cause lines exactly like this. This happens to me very often in shallower (under 15ft) water or narrow sloughs and slow moving creeks. Took me a while to figure out that when I enter the area the bubbles that are the surface of the bottom get disturb...

The transducer temp gauge is actually the little metal dot in the transducer. It will tell the temperature of whatever makes contact with it. So it can give an air temp if it's out of the water. Im not aware of any. I stepped up my boat insurance personal property coverage for this reason. Although i remove mine and store in a locked bin on my boat when leaving boat in water overnight.
