Distortion in 899 SI Recorded Image

Post by swalsh » Fri May 27, 2016 5:59 pm

Hi,

I recently experienced some distortion in the data I recorded using an 899 SI with the hi-def transducer. I'm not sure if it is related but I added an external GPS receiver ~3' above the transducer and this distortion began afterwards. I've added 2 images showing distortion and one image with no distortion. The attached photos named "Distortion1" and "NoDistortion" were imaged on different dates in nearly the same location. Is there any easy explanation for this variation?

Thanks a bunch for any help you can provide!
