Transducer adjustment.

Post by joecatchfish » Wed Jun 27, 2012 3:53 pm

My transducer for my 597 which is mounted at the stern sprays a rooster tail up to the point it sprays back into the boat.

Do I need to move it up?

That will help with the rooster tail

maybe not so much with your high speed depth reading.

Did you get the rubber plug that fills in the gap between the mount and transducer?
That plug is to lessen the rooster tail effect.

Thanks for the info, wasn't aware of this accessory. Will look into it.

Do not know if you fixed the issue but I believe that you need to raise your transducer a bit. sounds like it is too low.
