Hi, just got my 997 and the ice is still on half my lake, but have been out trying it out... just love it, works great right out of box....hoping I can get my fire dept. which I'm a member to get one for water. rescue....but still need some time to interpret pic's and help. I ran across this object out from a old boat ramp. looks like a car... but not sure...looks awful small

eddy6053 Not sure if it's a car or not. But i am sure you will love playing your 997. I love the one i have.I do more looking then fishing.

Try going over it with the unit set to left or right side scan instead of both sides. Also turn the range down to maybe 40 or 45. I like that you were also able to capture all those fish on the screen too. Great picture.

Not sure where you are but since you said ice on 1/2 of the lake, I might be more willing to say (guess) that maybe it's an ice shack someone didn't remove from the water or a large crib someone put there. Seems too "square" to be a car but it's hard to tell with only one screen shot.
