Havy bottom - any recommendations?

Post by Gitche Gumee » Wed Aug 10, 2011 9:35 pm

At 60 feet and over my bottom reading starts to become hazy. I can supress this with my down sensitivity setting, but I also lose alot of the bottom detail when I do so. This pic taken while the boat was powered by my main motor. Any suggestions?

I don't know, but maybe a thermocline?

Nick O may be right about the thermocline but than I don’t know your lake. Is this also present in the 2D sonar as well?
