360 & SI interference

Post by iceman4hct » Fri Apr 05, 2013 11:26 am

Recently purchased an 1198 & a 360 and now trying to find out if I mount the SI transducer using the transducer shield jackplate bracket on the opposite side of the 360(using the humminbird universal bracket 1810300) will the SI get interference from the 360 when its stowed? Or should the 360 be high enough not to matter?

I don’t know the answer to this. It would depend on how low you have to mount your 360 Imaging accessory versus how high up this will put your HDSi transducer. It would also depend on how far forwards or backwards the TS&S bracket positions the HDSi transducer versus the 360 Imaging. This may be one of those things that you just have to install to find out as the model of boat and jackplate as well as the brackets used to install the HDSi transducer and 360 Imaging will all factor into this.
