Helix 9 "source lost."

Post by Kent Ballan » Wed Jun 07, 2017 12:08 am

Hey there all. I have two Helix 9's (not mega) mounted in my boat, bought brand new in late June 2016. The one on my console has side and down Imaging, and the one on my bow is just GPS. They are networked. I recently did the software update to the newest version, and now keep getting a message on my bow unit stating SI or DI Source lost (or both), would you like to turn off? After a second or two it kicks out from my Sonar and goes straight back to the lake map screen. I would really appreciate any ideas that any of you may have to correct this problem. Thanks very much!!

Hmmm. Clearly your bow unit is not seeing the cockpit unit on the network. Could your network cable be kinked? I had a similar problem last year, had to replace the cable, worked fine after. This year, after installing 1.4 software (the basemap upgrade) I had to reset all of the network sources in the network settings on my Helix 9. Try that, it took a while, but finally kicked in and now works fine.
